Registering to Vote
Above all else, voting is the most critical thing that you can do to help Republicans become the
majority party in our state and nation. To register to vote in North Cariolina and Granville county,
you must be a resident of the County, and fill out a voter registration form.
Qualifications to register to vote in North Carolina:
* I am a U.S. citizen.
* I will have been a resident of North Carolina and this county for 30 days before the election.
* I will be at least 18 years old by the next general election.
* I am not registered nor will I vote in any other county or state.
* If I have been convicted of a felony, my rights of citizenship have been restored.

The North Carolina Republican Party Headquarters at 1506 Hillsborough Street in Raleigh, NC
is open Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:30 pm. Please drop by anytime to register.
DMV
The driver's license examination offices, located throughout the State, have conducted a successful
voter registration program since 1984. A person may complete a voter registration transaction at
any driver's license examination office when conducting official DMV business with that office
(applying for or renewing a driver's license, I.D. card, etc.).
Libraries and public high schools
North Carolina has mail-in voter registration forms available through public libraries and high schools.
These locations do not accept the forms for the county board of elections office. Forms may be

Deadline to Register:
The deadline to register to vote in North Carolina is 25 days before the day of the election.
Forms that are received by the county board of elections office or postmarked by the deadline
are accepted as valid applications for the upcoming election. Also, agency and DMV voter registration
transactions that are completed by the deadline are accepted as valid for the upcoming election.
Applicants will be notified by the county board of elections of their precinct and polling place
assignments.
Absentee Voting
Absentee voting by mail:
To request absentee ballots by mail, the request must be in writing and mailed to the Board of
Elections' office in Oxford. This request must include your full name, residence address, and
address where you would like the ballots to be mailed. You must sign the request.
If you can not vote at your precinct due to illness or physical condition,
you can request that your ballots be mailed to you.
A member of your immediate family may write
a request for an application for your absentee ballots. Once the completed application is returned,
ballots are mailed directly to the voter.

Absentee voting in person
One-Stop Absentee Voting and "No Excuse" Voting - This is a process in which you appear
in person and vote your ballots. The Board of Elections Office is the only place for early/"No Excuse" Voting
(No earlier than three weeks prior to the election)
